ABSTRACT
Students are at the stage of critical thinking, this time is when their ideas are improving and enhancing greatly within themselves. This stage is where they need to share their ideas to make it reality. However, they do not have any platforms to share the ideas they are creating. This system is created as a platform for the students to create the ideas they are achieving. This system may not only can be used for students but fresh graduated can also unleased their ideas in it. Someone may have interested to invest in the ideas proposed by the students.
This project proposed a Proposal Selection System to solve the problem stated above. This system helps student to propose, promote and sell their proposal to any registered company or institution that attract to invest in the ideas.
Furthermore, the companies and institutions can select which listed proposal can satisfy the requirements. The system uses the “Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP)” technique. This technique is based on mathematics and psychology, which is structured to manage and analyse complex decisions. In addition, the algorithm is also able to compile the data based on their priority. As a result, a study will be conducted to compare the best idea propose based on certain criteria.
INTRODUCTION
Proposal Selection system is a system that act as a platform between inventor who are students and company that is called as investor. This system contains information about the proposal that has been created by Final Year Students. The students propose their ideas and proposal. The investor can review the proposal and invest in the proposal if they interested in it. Besides, this system also stores the information about the creators to be reviewed by the investor who is interested in investing for the ideas.
Traditionally, ideas will be proposed to company by visiting the company itself. It is a hard work to be accomplished if the distance of the company is far away, this action will also consume a lot of time and energy, the person proposed will have to encourage the company by interviewing, meeting and chatting face to face. This system provides a platform for the ideas that can be selected just by reading the summary and details about the ideas by the creators. By considering the quality of the ideas and also the requirements, the interested party then can and contact the person in charge of the ideas by themselves.
This system can save a lot of time and hassle. The system can also help to search for suitable ideas with little or no difficulty at all since the data and information has already been formatted in such way that any individual can access it with little or no skill at all. Technology has evolved in recent times to a level where competition between existing systems and a new design are accessed and compared on the basis of reliability, compatibility, output design, speed and efficiently.
Globally, people are mostly interested in systems that can match any standard found in the international market. This project however is designed to assist creators to propose ideas that are qualified to fill up the requirements wanted by companies and institutions in their establishments and also to help the public to be well informed of such vacancies.
OBJECTIVES
Objective if this project is defined as the project outcome and how to achieve it. It is also supporting action to ensure the goals of the project are accomplished. The objectives of this system are stated below:
- To analyse the problem in the Proposal Selection System
- To design a proposed system of Proposal Selection System
- To develop system and implement the usage of Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) algorithm in the Proposal Selection System.
